New Management Academy Session Attracts 98

Nearly 100 managers from five states and the District of Columbia have enrolled in the next iteration of the Management Academy for Public Health.

For the first time, state and local agencies are picking up a portion of the cost. Previously the training costs were covered by a $2.8 million training grant funded by CDC, HRSA, WK Kellogg Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The pilot grant phase of the training program ended in May. The pilot program trained 635 managers over four years.

The new group begins their training at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the end of July, and will graduate next spring.
