Janet Porter is currently the executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Along with Jim Johnson, she served as the co-project director for the Management Academy
Prior to coming to UNC, Janet was a hospital executive for twenty years. Most recently, she was the CEO of a women’s and children’s hospital in Texas. From 1998-1999, Janet served as the Interim President and CEO of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
Janet has an MHA from Ohio State University, and a MBA and PhD from the University of Minnesota.
