Jim Johnson is the director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center in the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. Along with Janet Porter, he serves as the co-project director for the Management Academy. Jim is also the E. Maynard Adams Distinguished Professor of Geography, Sociology and Business Management.
In addition to his teachings at UNC, he has conducted diversity training for organizations including the American Medical Association, the American Dental Association and Philip Morris Companies.
Jim has an MS from the University of Wisconsin and a PhD from Michigan State University.
